Confusion: friend or foe?

In days gone by, the watchman on the wall would keep a vigilant eye out for all comers who may endanger the inhabitants within the safe confines of the wall surrounding the city.  He would sound the alarm if an enemy approached.  He would ask, essentially, “Who goes there, friend or foe?” if he did not know the identity and the intent of a stranger.

Whereas the city wall has long since been replaced by other defensive measures, the need for a watchman on the wall remains.  This is one of the primary responsibilities of national leaders and national armies.

Our national leader seems confused about who is our friend and who is our foe.  Israel is not our foe, they are our friend.  Iran is not our friend, they are our foe.  Yet the administration’s policies and decisions reflect the opposite.

As the article linked insinuates, who in their right mind would trust this nation.  They would more rightly think, “With friends like this, who needs enemies?”

The Lord is not the author of confusion, He is the God of order.  Confusion comes from our enemy.

False Prophet: Ecumenicism

Loud is the cry for unity.  Unity among Christians, unity among all religions, unity among nations, unity within nations.  The cry is loud because unity brings peace.

However, missing in all the cries for unity and peace is the cry for truth.  Unity and peace without truth are false.  Jesus said, “Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.”  (Matthew 10:34).  When praying to the Father for His followers,  Jesus prayed, “They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.  Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.”  (John 17:16-17).

Given to the Apostle John in approximately 95 AD, the Book of Revelation must be understood to understand the days in which we live.  Jesus gives us the outline for the book in Revelation 1:19.

  1. has seen Ch 1                             the Revelation of Jesus Christ
  2. which are Ch 2 & 3                   present
  3. which shall be Ch 4-22           future

The seven letters to the seven churches dictated to the Apostle John by the Lord Jesus Christ, the period of time in Revelation 1:19 known as “the things which are” before the period of time known as “the things which shall be hereafter,” foretells Church history.  The sequence of the letters is of utmost importance in that in only that sequence do they map to Church history.

Ephesus:          Apostolic Church            30 – 100  (1st century)

Smyrna:           Persecuted Church        100 – 312  (2nd, 3rd)

Pergamum       Imperial Chuch             312 – 606  (4th – 6th)

Thyatira           Papal Church                 606 – Tribulation  (7th – )

Sardis              Reformed Church       1520 – Tribulation  (16th – )

Philadelphia    Missionary Church      1750 – Rapture  (18th – )

Laodicea         Apostate Church         1900 – Tribulation  (20th – )

The over-riding characteristics of the churches are:

Ephesus:          Pre-occupied:  neglected priorities, left 1st love

Smyrna:           Persecuted:  satanic oppression, persecuted

Pergamum:      Politically Correct:  religious and compromising,                                                                                             a perverted marriage

Thyatira:          Prosperous…but adulterous:  worldly, love affair                                                                                             with Jezebel

Sardis:             Powerless:  spiritual apathy, dead

Philadelphia:   Persevering:  small, faithful, raptured

Laodicea:        Putrid:  lukewarm

Still on earth in these end times are Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia, and Laodicea.   Clearly, according to Jesus Christ Who is dictating these letters, these churches are NOT on the same page.  They may seek unity under one leader but it will be a false unity because Truth (a Person, John 14:6) is excluded.

Beware the man-centered ecumenical movement sweeping the earth these days.  Be very discerning, not dull (“lazy”) of hearing (Hebrews 5:11-14), when you hear the words of the Pope or Rick Warren.  They are saying things contrary to the words of Jesus Christ in Revelation 2-3 and in so doing are luring “Christianity” into the One World Religion led by the False Prophet (foretold in Revelation 13) and destroyed by The Truth (Revelation 17).

Will we listen to the ear-tickling words of man  (2 Timothy 4:1-4) to our own harm or the ear-tingling Word of God  (1 Samuel 3:11, 2 Kings 21:12, Jeremiah 19:3) to our eternal good?

There can be no unity apart from truth.  Therefore, genuine unity and genuine peace will be possible only when Truth establishes His kingdom on earth and reigns on His Throne in Jerusalem (Revelation 19-20).

Euphemisms

(Photo posted on the Facebook page “Finish Well”)

A euphemism is a word that covers or clouds the plain meaning of another word, a word some might consider too harsh, direct, or offensive.  Therefore, euphemisms can be diplomatically deceiving.

Euphemisms in today’s Christianity are “positive” and “relevant.”  Both have man-centered meanings to cover the offense of the Gospel  (the Cross, sin, repentance, judgment).

Man thinks the Bible’s presentation of our no-good sin nature, the unavoidable and painful consequences of sin,  and God’s demand for a sacrifice and repentance for the offenses committed against Him are negative.  Yet these truths are necessary to receive the positives of forgiveness, reconciliation, salvation, and eternal life in Christ.  The entire (negatives and positives) Gospel is Good News.  Only in the entire Gospel is there life-saving and life-changing power.  To present the “positive” without the “negative” is deceiving and disingenuous.

Finite and fragile man thinks what he thinks is important is “relevant.”  However, what the Infinite and Almighty God thinks is important is “relevant.”  The Word of God, the entire counsel of God, is relevant for all men of all cultures in all ages.  Not so much as one word of the Word of God should fall to the ground by man judging it to be irrelevant.

Catering to man rather than faithfully serving God and trembling at the Word of God,  so much of today’s Christianity has “missed the mark” when it comes to “positive” and “relevant.”

Coexist

(Photo posted on the Facebook page “Finish Well”)

This Coexist happens in hell.

Jesus Christ, said:

“I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me.”  (John 14:6).

“My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.”  (John 10:27).

” I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which Thou hast given Me; for they are Thine.”  (John 17:9)

“I have given them Thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.  I pray not that Thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that Thou shouldest keep them from the evil.  They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.   Sanctify them through Thy truth: Thy word is truth.”  (John 17:14-17)

The world will coexist, separated from God.  Jesus will not coexist with the religions of the world, and neither will His followers.

False Prophet: Mark of the Beast

Revelation 13 foretells us of a counterfeit trinity that will deceive the nations in the last seven years of man’s reign on earth.  An enabling technology to control the world’s population and economy is known in Scripture as the “mark of the beast”  (Revelation 13:15-18).   Revelation 14:9-11 tells us that those who take the mark of the beast will perish forever.  So the people living on earth will face a momentous decision in that day:  to be killed by man and live forever with God or to live with man on earth and to be killed eternally by God.

The technology to control the world’s population and economy is here for the first time in human history.  Below is an article that I copied/pasted rather than provide the link due to the trashy/sleazy ads on the page.  Be aware.  Decide NOW what you will do if you are presented with the decision to take the mark of the beast or not.

The article:

Technologies designed specifically to track and monitor human beings have been in development for at least two decades. In the virtual realm, software programs are now capable of watching us in real time, going so far as to make predictions about our future behaviors and sending alerts to the appropriate monitoring station depending on how a computer algorithm flags your activities.

That is in and of itself a scary proposition. What may be even scarier, however, is what’s happening in the physical realm. According to researches working on human-embedded microchips it’s only a matter of time before these systems achieve widespread acceptance.

Already, schools in Brazil have started to place computer chips in school uniforms to keep track of pupils and reduce truancy. Some 20,000 pupils in the north-eastern city of Vitoria da Conquista have microchips embedded in their school T-shirts. The parents get a text message when their children arrive at school, or if they are late for classes. The authorities say the measure will help teacher-parent relations.

RFID chips are everywhere. Basically, if you have to swipe a card, your ID is encoded in the magnetic stripe. If you touch it to a reader, as with Myki, it has an RFID chip with your number on it linked to the relevant database with your info on it. The latest credit cards have both stripe and RFID.

Just about every American now carries a mobile phone. They’re so prevalent, in fact, that many consider it a “right,” prompting the government to actually provide subsidies to those who can’t afford one on their own.

Embedded in every one of those phones is an RFID chip that can track our every movement via GPS or cell tower triangulation. Moreover, those microphones and cameras that come standard on every phone can be remotely activated by law enforcement surveillance systems, a capability that has existed since the early 2000′s.

But as intrusive as these devices are, they are accepted as the norm by billions of people world wide. Not only that, but no one had to “force” them on us. We are, it seems, the masters of our own enslavement. And we pay top dollar to have the best tracking device money can buy!

Granted, one can simply disconnect from “the grid” by throwing away their cell phone. But, the direction these new monitoring technologies are moving coupled with continued government expansion of surveillance suggests that microchip RFID technology will eventually be non-voluntary.

Michael Snyder of The Truth Wins asks What will you do when you can no longer buy or sell without submitting to biometric identification?

This technology is going to keep spreading, and it is going to become harder and harder to avoid it.

And it is easy to imagine what a tyrannical government could do with this kind of technology. If it wanted to, it could use it to literally track the movements and behavior of everyone.

And one day, this kind of technology will likely be so pervasive that you won’t be able to open a bank account, get a credit card or even buy anything without having either your hand or your face scanned first.

It’s difficult to imagine a populace that will freely submit to such digital bondage. But as has been the case with the degradation of personal privacy and rights in America, be assured it won’t simply become law over night.

First, the technologies will need to be generally accepted by society. It’ll start with real-time consumer based products like Google Glass. The older generations may reject it, but in a couple of years you can bet that tens of millions of kids, teens and younger adults will be roaming the streets while sporting cool shades, interactive web surfing and the capability to record everything around them and upload it to the internet instantly.

Next, as we’re already seeing from early adopters, RFID chips will be voluntarily implanted under our skin for everything from access to high security buildings to grocery store purchases.

Eventually, once the concept is generally accepted by the majority, it will become our new “social security number.”

To gain access to official services, you’ll need to be a verified human. Without verification you won’t even be able to purchase a six pack of beer, let alone get medical care or a driver’s license.

Whether we like it or not this is the future. Every purchase you make and every step you take will be tracked by a tiny 15-digit passive microchip, meaning that the only way to “turn it off” will be to physically remove it from your body.

In essence, we’ll soon live in a world of Always On Monitoring.

Our children and grandchildren – at least most of them – will likely not only submit to implantation, they’ll gladly pay the costs so that they, too, can “interact with society in a meaningful way.”

False Prophet: the image of God

“And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth.  So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.”

The Word of God declares in Genesis 1:26-27 (above) that man…male and female…is created in the image of God.  And the two became one flesh  (Genesis 2:24).  The Word of God clearly presents God’s exclusive definition of marriage:  one man and one woman.

In our days, the “image of God” is being attacked by the tsunami of “legalized” (in whose eyes and by whose law?) homosexual marriage.  We, Adam’s race, are shaking our fist at our Creator and spitting in His eye.

By saying “God is not afraid of new things” when speaking of the deep divide in Roman Catholic Church leadership over homosexual marriage (of which he is in favor), Pope Francis mistakenly thinks:

1) God changes His mind, morality, and Word. Yet the Bible says, “For I am the LORD, I change not.” (Malachi 3:6)

2) There are such things as “new things.” Yet the Bible says, “The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.” (Ecclesiastes 1:9)

3) New is good. Yet the Bible says, “Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls.” (Jeremiah 6:16)

The man is a false teacher, misrepresenting the Almighty God.

To those in the Roman Catholic Church, Jesus is saying to you, “Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.” (Revelation 18:4) Do not hestitate…flee!!! Flee to a church that teaches the entire counsel of God, from Genesis to Revelation so you will know what the unchanging God says. The Word of God is the Truth (John 17:17, John 14:6).

False Prophet: The God of the Bible is not the god of the Koran

During the last 7 years of man’s reign on earth  (The Day of the Lord, the 70th Week of Daniel), a counterfeit trinity deceives the nations and the inhabitants of the earth:  counterfeit father (Satan), counterfeit son (Antichrist), counterfeit spirit  (false prophet of the Antichrist) that the Word of God describes as “beasts”  (Revelation 13).

That 7 year period, chronicled in Revelation 6-19, starts with a 7 year (false) peace treaty with Israel negotiated and enforced by the Antichrist (Daniel 9:24-27).  Israel will be allowed to build a Temple on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, site of the Dome of the Rock, without starting “World War III” with the Muslim nations.  The false prophet will bear witness of the counterfeit son, causing the inhabitants of the world to worship him as god, which has been Satan’s stated objective since the Garden of Eden  (Isaiah 14:12-17,  Matthew 4:1-11).  A global ecumenical movement will have to be entrenched for this to happen.

One of every six inhabitants of the world look to the Vatican in Rome for spiritual leadership.  One of every six inhabitants of the world look to Mohammed and the Koran for spiritual leadership.  The Roman Catholic Church and Islam must be on peaceful terms if the global ecumenical movement is to come into being;  the two religions have been getting closer to each other in recent years and that ecumenical process has been accelerated by the current Pope.

Keep your eyes on Israel.  Keep your eyes on the Roman Catholic Church.  News headlines will make more sense when read through the “lens” of Scripture.
