God says to us, “Come now, and let us reason together: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.” (Isaiah 1:18)
The Bible tells us that God sees into the deepest part of our being and that we will someday have to reason with Him and explain ourselves (Hebrews 4:12-13). This is a very fearful proposition because we all know that we 1) are not perfect and 2) have not lived up to even our own standard of behavior, much less God’s.
God loves us too much to leave us hanging – He has a counter-proposition for us. Hebrews 4:14 tells us of a “great high priest that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God.” Jesus alone is a “great” high priest because, whereas some priests may cover our sin, only Jesus can remove it and wash away the stain.
We all have stains that must be removed if we are to go to heaven. Only Jesus Christ can remove them. Will you cry out to Him and cry out for His unique stain removal service?
